Bonda Ranch European Championship Open Go Round Leader:
Martina Annovazzi & Stevie Reyvenge
Andrea Favaretto leading in Limited Open
With a score of 151, Martina Annovazzi (ITA) and Stevie Reyvenge (Stevie Rey Von x Pettys Dual Pep) took the lead in the highly competitive Go Round for the Bonda Ranch European Championship Open, which featured 33 starters. The roan stallion, who won the Italian NCHA Cutting Derby in 2019, thrilled the crowd with his work on the cattle.
‘Stevie was born and raised here at Rosy o' Gradys, and he was my favourite from the very beginning,’ said Martina. "It was just a great feeling to ride him today. He was completely connected – listening to me 100% on the one hand and fully focused on the cow on the other. I love this horse and I'm just happy with how it went today.‘ She added: ’AMERICANA is fantastic – we have very good cattle and wonderful ground this year. This show arena is great – there aren't many events where it's such a joy to show!"
Rob Gerrits delivered the second-best score of the go-round with All The Creyz (Stevie Rey Von x Creyze Eights), owned by Yvonne Bonda: 149. The 6-year-old stallion was bred by Hartmann Quarter Horses in Texas. Things went well for Bonda Ranch in this go-round anyway, as they have three horses in the final: Gaetan Foulatier rode Stylish Stevie to third place with a score of 148 (he was Masters Cutting Open Reserve Champion at this AMERICANA with this horse), and Rob Gerrits rode Bet Hesa Five to fifth place with a score of 147.
Andrea Favaretto also came third in the Open Go Round with Silvia Viaggi's Sofies Choice Cat (High Brow Cat x Sofie Rey). This also meant that the pair took the lead in the Limited Open. Favaretto also rode Trendzetter to second place with a score of 145. The pair had won the Masters Cutting Open just a few days earlier. In third place with a score of 143.6 were Koen Hertecant and The First Reyn.
