AMERICANA 2021: Fabio Giacalone wins ERCHA Non Pro Limited Bridle

In the ERCHA Non Pro Limited Bridle, Fabio Giacalone claimed the title aboard Spart Speedy (Smart Easy Deal x OT Boompepp) in a field of 12 starters. The 11-year-old mare, with whom Giacalone was Non Pro Bridle Champion at the 2021 ERCHA Spring Stakes, scored a 141.5 in Rein Work and came out of Fencework with a 140.5. That combined for a 282 and the win in that class.

Austria's Karl Simon came in second with a total score of 277.5 with Bricks Smart Player, followed by Marta Bossi on Dg Reypep Quixote (276.5).

Katrin Bartmann & Smart Little Theo claim ERCHA 1K Non Pro Limited Bridle Championship

The ERCHA 1K Non Pro Limited Bridle was won by Katrin Bartmann with the already 16-year-old Paint gelding Smart Little Theo (Smart Flying Colours x Honey Bee Smart). The two finished with a 139 in Rein Work and a 140 in Fencework for a composite score of 279. "Theo" is a true family horse - and a highly successful one. With Katrin Bartmann, he was Limited Non Pro USA Co-Champion at the 2014 Breeders Futurity, among others. Under Katrin's husband Maik, the gelding was European Champion Working Cowhorse and runner-up in Junior Reining as well as Res. Futurity Champion in the Paints, and under Leni Bartmann he celebrates and enjoys success after success in the Cowhorse.

Coming in second with a total score of 277.5 was Austria's Karl Simon with Bricks Smart Player, followed by Switzerland's Niggi Vlach with Crazy Smart Whiz (275.5).
