Ann Fonck takes lead in Bronze Trophy Open Go round

20 horses had been entered in the EUR 40.000-added Bronze Trophy Open go round. The top 12 plus ties made it to the final for which a minimum score of 214.5 had to be achieved. NRHA Million Dollar Rider Ann Fonck rode top score 221 with her 8-year-old mare Spook N Perla (Smart Spook x Shine On Ruff) and also rode her two other horses in the final: Gunners Specialolena (Gunners Special Nite x Dolly Jac Olena) for owner Diego Dalla Gassa on second place (220.5) and Made in Walla (Walla Walla Whiz x Hollywood Made) for owners Sabine Lisec and Chuck Klipfel on 5th place (218).

Ann Fonck trained Spook N Perla, who is owned by Golden Paint Ranch, from the beginning and is leading NRHA Open ranking at the moment, With this mare, Ann was 2019 NRHA European Affiliate Champion Open becoming the third female Million Dollar Rider. „Spook N Perla has got lots of talent and an incredible mind,“ she said. „You can lways depend on her.“

Scoring a 219.5, Grischa Ludwig aboard Coeurs Little Tyke (Coeur D Wright Stuff x Shine My Gun) and Markus Morawitz aboard Gunners Chic Magnet (Colonels Shining Gun x Wind Her Up Chic) tied for third place. With the 9-year-old stallion Coeurs Little Tyke (owner Hans Georg Holzwarth) Ludwig was 2019 FEI European Champion (Team and Individual). With the 8-year-old stallion Gunners Chic Magnet owned by Josef and Tamara Ahorner, Morawitz became 2019 Maturity Champion Open in Wels and NRHA European Affiliate Champion Intermediate Open.

Grischa Ludwig also rode his second horse Nu Chexomatic to 5th place scoring a 218. With this 12-year-old palomino gelding owned by Jacpoint QH, Ludwig won the AMERICANA Bronze Trophy 2017. Markus Süchting and Spotlight Charly also placed 5th (218). Three riders scored for 8th place scoring a 217: Nico Siguro aboard Iam Sailors Brother, NRHA 2 Million Dollar Rider Bernard Fonck aboard Missedouttinseltown and Klaus Lechner aboard Cody Rooster Delmaso with Fabien Boiron aboard Jac Whiz following on 11th place (215). Three riders toied for 12th place: Nico Siguro aboard Sugar Little Step, Pattrick Göschl aboard AC Mark This Slide and NRHA Million Dollar Rider Rudi Kronsteiner aboard AB Peppy Diamond (214.5 each).

Klaus Lechner claims NRHA Int. Open Bronze Trophy

Another big success for Austrian Klaus Lechner: with Tinseltownsmokingun (Colonels Smoking Gun x Miss Tinseltown) he won the NRHA Intermediate Open Bronze Trophy scoring a 219. The flashy 9-year-old sorrel stallion’s achievements multiple Futurity Champion Non Pro, multiple Bronze Trophy Champion and multiple Derby Finalist. With his owner Julia Gaupmann-Lechner, Tinseltownsmokingun was 2017 NRHA European Affiliate Champion Int. Non Pro. Klaus Lechner, who won the AustrianRHA Futurity Intermediate Open shortly before the AMERICANA, was in the Austrian team with this stallion at the FEI European Championship and became Maturity Champion in Wels. „The stallion stood at his breeding station until July,“ said Klaus Lechner. “so we did not have much time to train him. But he was completely with me all the time. He is always there doing his best, and so are his foals.” Klaus Lechner also rode Cody Rooster Delmaso on fourth place of this class scoring a 217. With this stallion he is 5th in NRHA Int. Open ranking at the moment.

Niklas Ludwig and Margot van Doorne‘s 6-year-old Mr Ricochet (Rochet Rooster x Docs Oak Rosy) placed second scoring a 218.5.The stallion was IRHA Derby Non Pro L2 Champion. Markus Süchting and Spotlight Charly (As Smart As Charly x Sweet Steppin Cody) placed third for owner Susanne Schöning (218). With this stallion, Markus earned team gold at the FEI European Championship.
