Thomas Guenther rides bareback to the Freestyle Reining Open Championship

Thomas Guenther’d Freestyle Reining started with something which had not been seen before at AMERICANA. Standing in the middle of the arena, he called for his horse Super Silbver Haze which arrived with a sliding stop in front of him. Thomas who was dressed like the devil, mounted and finished his pattern which included even piaff and pirouette in addition to the reining manouevres. Super Silbver Haze finished the pattern by lying down and earned top score 221.5.

Ernst-Peter Frey and Sugars Olena Ice Man placed second scoring a 219.5. Wearing a gas mask and carrying a dead tree in his hand, Frey rode his pattern to Michael Jackson‘s „Earth Song“ . With a score of 218, Tereza Trestikova placed third. She entered the arena on foot letting her horse AP Royal Bar turn from the ground, and then mounted finishing her pattern. Two riders tied for fourth place scoring a 214: Astrid Rensmann aboard CC Nite Rider and Shirley Schalcher aboard Big And Sweet BB.

Top score 224.5 for Lina Winter in Freestyle Non-Pro

For her great performance in the Freestyle Reining Non Pro, Lina Winter and her Senoras Greatest Kid earned top score 224.5. Supported by four riders including Diana Royer and her mule Cosima, they presented a superb pattern which culminated in spins without a bridle. Second place went Shirley Schalcher who scored a 215 aboard her Big And Sweet BB with Maja Petra Federer an Jolly Spangled Whiz placing third.

Christoph Seiler wins ERCHA Two-Rein Open

Christoph Seiler and Magic Nu Cash won the ERCHA Two-Rein Open scoring a 433. Maik Bartmann and Verlander placed second with Marine Richard and GS Top On Whizard and Joakim Pettersson aboard Nic it Cowboy tying for third place. In the ERCHA Two-Rein Non-Pro, the winner was Hannes Winkler aboard Cattin Downtown with Olaf Bockstaller and HS High Five placing second. Marco Breitenbach and VR Lolita Pep placed third with Sophie-Alett Kruspe aboard Jacks Red Sunshine following.
