Americana 2019 has begun!

Europe’s premier western event has begun: Americana started in Augsburg today with the first classes and go rounds. On Wednesday the event will open its doors for the public. 50,000 visitors are expected again. About 350 riders from 19 countries are competing in 48 classes with altogether 650 entries. There is a total purse of more than 160,000-added Euro. 327 exhibitors from 13 countries present their products.

Tereza Ranna and Kim Dammann tie for thirs place in Trail go round

The top ten riders of the European Championship Trail Open made it to the final. Two riders tied for first place scoring a 145.5: Tereza Ranna aboard Rin and Kim Dammann aboard Wild Chic N. Marina Schwank and Mate To Win Only followed on third place scoring a 145.

Gaetan Foulatier claims Masters Cutting Open

The Masters Cutting Open started the AMERICANA 2019 at Augsburg. Scoring a 147.5, Gaetan Foulatier from France and Stylish Lil Lola (Thomas E Hughes x Aint She Stylish) claimed the Championship here with a brilliant run. The 5-year-old bay mare was bred in the U.S.A. and is owned by Daniel Harache. She was 2018 NCHA Open 5/6 Finalist and Open Derby Finalist. Gaetan Foulatier is a multiple NCHA of France Futurity Champion, NCHA of Italy Open Futurity Co-Champion, High Point Champion NCHA and NCHA European Champion.

Two riders tied for second place honours scoring a 146 each: Martina Annovazzi aboard the 7-year-old gelding Iminent Cat (Metallic Cat x Peekaboon) and Federico Fanti aboard the 6-year-old gelding Metallic D Nero (Metallic Cat x Cinderella Starlight). With his owner Damiano Avigno, Metallic D Nero Super Stakes Amateur Finalist. Martina Annovazzi and Iminent Cat, who is owned by Maurizio Battista Sandei, won the Open Cutting in Cremona this year setting European high score 78. Martina also won the Open Cutting at AMERICANA 2017.

Masters Cutting Non Pro Champion: Yvonne Heinzer & Snappy Hunter

The Masters Cutting Non Pro Championship went to Yvonne Heinzer from Switzerland who rode her 6-year-old mare Snappy Hunter to a 145 in a field of 30. Yvonne is European Cup Champion as well as European Champion. Maurizio Battista Sandei and his Iminent Cat (Metallic Cat x Peekaboon) placed second scoring a 144 with Finja Johanna Boecher and her 10-year-old mare Slytly Pretty (That Sly Cat x Playboy Lou) following on third place (143).

Masters Cutting Youth is won by Riccardo Pini & Meradadreamcatcher

Like father like son: the Masters Cutting Youth was won by Denis Pinis’ son Riccardo aboard Norma Fanelli’s Meradadreamcatcher (Spooks Smokin Cat x Ride N Merada) who scored a 146. With this 7-year-old mare, Riccardo Pini was 2018 NCHA Italy Maturity Youth and $1000 Amateur Champion. Sasha Schwind roder her 15-year-old mare Pistols Little Oak (Smart Little Pistol x Oak Ridge Gal) to second place (144) and was third with her 10-year-old gelding The Big Spoon (141). With these two horses, she was 2018 NCHA European Champion Youth.
